ABK Trading & Service ("ABK", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit abktradingservice.com and what we do with it. It is drafted in alignment with the principles of Qatar Law No. 13 of 2016 concerning the Protection of Personal Data Privacy (PDPPL). What we collect on this website
We operate a marketing and catalogue website with a shopping cart; orders are placed and confirmed with us on WhatsApp. We do not take payments online, do not ask you to create an account, and do not store credit card or identity data on our servers. The data involved in your visit falls into six categories: (a) aggregated, cookieless analytics from Plausible (page views, referrer, device category) that contain no IP address and cannot be tied back to you individually; (b) Google Analytics and the Google Ads conversion tag, which use cookies to measure how the site is used (pages viewed; taps on our WhatsApp, phone and email buttons; wholesale catalogue downloads; and cart actions such as adding items, viewing the cart and sending an order, including the products, quantities, prices and order reference; and installation booking requests, including the coverage, film, vehicle size, price and booking reference) and whether a visit that began with one of our Google ads led to an enquiry — Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; (c) your cart, delivery choice, delivery area and order notes (and, for wholesale enquiries, the company name and notes you type), which are saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device so they are still there when you come back — they are not sent to our servers, they reach us only if you send them to us on WhatsApp, and you can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser; (d) a single functional cookie named abk_audience that remembers whether you chose to browse the retail (B2C) or wholesale (B2B) view — this is not tracking, and it expires after 180 days; (e) standard web server logs kept by our hosting provider (Vercel), which may include your IP address and user agent for security and operational purposes. We do not see or use these logs for marketing. (f) If you request a PPF installation booking, the details you enter in the booking form (name, mobile number, optional email, your car's make, model and year, the coverage and film you chose, your preferred date and notes), together with the booking reference and any advertising click identifier (gclid, gbraid or wbraid) or campaign tags in the page address, are sent from our website's server to a Google Sheet that ABK operates under Google's terms, and we receive an email alert; we use them to confirm and arrange your installation and to measure which of our Google ads led to paid bookings, and keep them for as long as reasonably needed to serve you and handle any warranty claim.
When you contact us
Our primary contact channel is WhatsApp. When you tap any WhatsApp button — including "Send order on WhatsApp" in your cart — your browser opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message you can edit or discard; for an order, it lists the items and quantities, delivery or pickup, your delivery area and any notes you added. From that point onward, the conversation takes place on Meta's WhatsApp platform and is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. We keep the messages you send us in WhatsApp Business history for as long as reasonably needed to serve you as a customer. You may also email us at sales@abktradingservice.com; we keep those messages in Gmail under Google's privacy terms.
What we do with your information
We use the information you provide to reply to product inquiries, quote wholesale pricing, and follow up on outstanding orders. To carry out an installation, we share your name, mobile number, car details and appointment with the VTEK-authorised partner centre that fits the film; it may use them only to do that job. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run remarketing advertising campaigns based on your visits.
Your rights under Qatar PDPPL
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of data we no longer need, and withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent. To exercise these rights, email sales@abktradingservice.com with a clear description of your request. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children's privacy
Our products are intended for adult customers and licensed automotive businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
